Meet the Board of Directors
Christina B. Kelly is an accomplished educator, executive coach, and multidisciplinary creative whose career spans more than two decades of instructional leadership, organizational strategy, and arts-based community engagement. As Board Chair of The Lifted Legacy Foundation, she brings a powerful blend of educational expertise, operational discipline, and creative vision to LLF’s governance and long‑term strategy.
Christina holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Master of Science in Administration and Supervision from Morgan State University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She served Baltimore City Public Schools for nearly 20 years as a classroom teacher, mentor, professional developer, curriculum writer, and Assistant Director of the Voices of Northwood Elementary School. Her insight strengthened instructional quality, elevated student voice, and shaped schoolwide culture. She continued her impact at Morgan State University advising student organizations in addition to mentoring students and supporting strategic initiatives through the Morgan Community Mile. Christina’s contributions lend to the university as a member and facilitator of the Science‑Mathematics‑Engineering Steering Committee and Fair with the Center for Mathematics and Science Education.
A seasoned creative professional, Christina is a musician, producer, songwriter, and spoken word artist. She previously served as business manager for the Quince duo Kelvin and Rory under CKR Records, overseeing operations, performances, financial support, and regional travel. Through her company, FirstBornFirst Productions, LLC, she provides musical, life, and educational consulting rooted in growth mindset, artistry, and holistic development. Her leadership is grounded in faith, tenacity, and a deep commitment to empowering communities through purpose-driven service. She is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Jarrell Blakemore serves as the Vice Chair of the Lifted Legacy Foundation, where he provides strategic governance, legal insight, and mission‑aligned leadership to advance our work in elevating and retaining Black early‑career educators. As an attorney with a deep commitment to equity and public service, Jarrell brings extensive experience in legal analysis, compliance, and policy interpretation to the board.
His legal foundation was shaped at Howard University School of Law, where he served as a student attorney representing indigent clients in DC Superior Court. Through this work, he strengthened his commitment to justice, advocacy, and community‑centered legal practice. His background spans criminal code reform, public defense, and policy research. This gives him a nuanced understanding of the systemic barriers that impact Black communities and the educators who serve them.
At The Lifted Legacy Foundation, Jarrell leverages his expertise to guide board governance, compliance strategy, and organizational risk management. He is a trusted thought partner to the Board Chair and Chief Executive Officer, known for his analytical rigor, calm leadership presence, and ability to translate complex legal landscapes into clear, actionable strategy. Jarrell’s leadership strengthens the organizations ability to scale responsibly, protect its mission, and build a durable foundation that supports the long‑term success of Black educators. He is also a proud member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.
Tyler A. Rangel is a powerhouse digital strategist, entrepreneur, and wellness innovator whose work sits at the intersection of creativity, systems thinking, and purpose-driven brand building. As the Founder & CEO of Sunshine Tee & Co, Tyler leads a growing wellness brand dedicated to helping individuals cultivate clarity, balance, and emotional restoration through beautifully designed journals and intentional lifestyle products. Her work champions the belief that wellness should be accessible, affirming, and rooted in joy.
A seasoned strategist with deep expertise in digital ecosystems, content architecture, and human‑centered design, Tyler has built a reputation for transforming ideas into scalable, high‑impact brands. Her marketing firm has supported entrepreneurs, nonprofits, and mission‑aligned organizations in elevating their visibility, strengthening their digital presence, and expanding their reach.

Natalie Joseph is a mental health clinician based in Los Angeles with a strong commitment to trauma-responsive care and wellness-centered programming. Through her private practice, Transformative Mental Health, she supports individuals navigating high-stakes environments and complex life challenges. Her work has provided her with a deep understanding of how trauma, chronic stress, and systemic barriers impact emotional well-being, while reinforcing the importance of creating supportive and sustainable spaces for healing and personal growth.
Natalie brings a broad and informed perspective grounded in clinical training, ethical practice, and culturally responsive care. In her role, she provides guidance that aligns with best practices in mental health while remaining mindful of regional considerations and professional scope.
